Privacy information

Updated October 22, 2026. This notice describes how the LaneBound recruiting website handles driver accounts, applications and optional documents.

Information you choose to provide

An account stores your name, email, password hash, contact details, CDL class, experience and driving preferences. You may optionally save a résumé, CDL/license copies or driving certificates. Do not provide Social Security cards, banking information or medical records.

Your profile and your applications

Driver profiles and saved documents are private, not a public directory. You choose when to apply and which saved documents to attach. Application submissions record the details and selected documents for that role. Updating your profile does not rewrite information already submitted.

You can also apply without an account. Guest contact details and optional uploads belong only to that application and are not automatically turned into a reusable profile.

Saved jobs and carrier inquiries

If you save a job while signed in, it is stored in your private account shortlist. Carrier inquiry forms collect the business contact details and hiring requirements you provide so authorized staff can respond and track the discussion. We do not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Who can access documents

You can download documents saved in your own account. Authenticated LaneBound staff can download documents you attach to an application for recruiting review. Staff access to a saved document is not provided merely because it exists in your profile. We do not publish your documents or automatically forward them to employers. Further employer sharing requires the appropriate notice and permission.

Storage and removal

Uploaded files are encrypted in private storage. Downloads require authorization, and document access is logged. Login cookies keep you signed in and protect forms against unauthorized submissions.

You can remove a saved document from My documents. If it has not been submitted, its stored file is deleted. If it was already submitted, it is removed from the saved-document list but remains linked to those applications. Submitted records may be needed for recruiting administration and handling disputes. To request deletion, access or correction of stored records, use the request form below. We review requests and may need to verify identity before acting.
